Drive System Problems:

Servo motor overloads or encoder feedback errors affect speed stability. Drive module faults or poor electrical connections produce abnormal noises and uneven rotation.

Stepwise Troubleshooting

Step 1: Basic Inspection

Shut down and disconnect power. Remove chips and debris from the rotary table, guideways, and bearings. Rotate manually to detect stuttering. Difficulty or grinding indicates mechanical jamming; smooth rotation with powered stuttering indicates drive issues.

Step 2: Targeted Repairs

  1. Mechanical: Replace worn bearings, balls, and damaged guide surfaces. Tighten bolts and adjust couplings.
  2. Lubrication: Clear blockages, replace degraded oil, and repair leaks.
  3. Drive System: Inspect servo motors, calibrate encoders, and check wiring and drive modules.

Step 3: Verify Results

Run the table under no-load conditions. Ensure smooth, stutter-free rotation. Perform test grinding to confirm accuracy. Always use proper tools and never adjust components while powered. Replenish lubrication after repairs.
