Thailand Hosts Major PCB and Automation Expo to Boost Southeast Asian Manufacturing Connectivity

Bangkok, March 5, 2025. The Thailand Electronics Intelligent Manufacturing Series Exhibition (Intelligent Asia Thailand) and Thailand International Automation Manufacturing Application Equipment Exhibition (Automation Thailand) will officially kick off tomorrow at the Thailand International Trade and Exhibition Center in Bangkok. From tomorrow until March 8, 2025, the exhibition will bring together 300 global exhibitors, showcasing a wide range of products and services covering printed circuit board (PCB) technology, industrial control, assembly, power electronics, numerical control machinery, factory automation and more. With an exhibition area of 10,000 square meters, the event will create a comprehensive platform for all parties involved to connect with the manufacturing supply chain in Southeast Asia.

The Smart Electronics Manufacturing Series in Thailand focuses on the country’s rapidly growing electronics and semiconductor industries, showcasing smart electronics manufacturing technologies, PCB technologies and advanced component production and assembly solutions. The exhibition comprehensively presents total process solutions in the PCB field, from manufacturing, automation and testing to materials. Exhibits cover HDI/IC carrier boards, flexible and rigid PCBs, intelligent automation equipment, advanced testing solutions, as well as non-destructive testing systems, process equipment, electroplating technology and handling systems. In addition, a number of leading software providers will also participate, helping manufacturers, suppliers and participants from all areas of the supply chain in Southeast Asia to achieve efficient collaboration.

The concurrent Thailand International Automation Manufacturing Application Equipment Exhibition focuses on comprehensive automation solutions and is dedicated to connecting Southeast Asian manufacturers with automation experts and system integrators. Visitors can gain an in-depth understanding of the core technologies of the fully digital factory, including inspection systems, digital platforms, automated handling equipment and intelligent factory robots.

Three major technical exchange activities to facilitate in-depth industry exchanges

To support industry practitioners’ needs throughout the process, from technology selection to implementation, three technical exchange events will be held concurrently with the exhibition to promote in-depth exchanges between upstream and downstream industry chains through technical presentations, live demonstrations and expert discussions.

The two-day PCB Stage Seminar focuses on the coordinated development of the electronics manufacturing and PCB industries. Industry experts will discuss in-depth the innovative PCB and packaging substrate technologies, smart manufacturing and green factory initiatives in Southeast Asia. Industry experts will also share their insights on the investment prospects of industrial estates in Thailand, including tax, licensing and regulatory considerations, as well as the challenges and opportunities of global collaboration in the PCB industry.

Tech Stage will bring together exhibitors showcasing advanced solutions covering automation, robotics, energy and sustainability, motion technology, digital systems, warehouse operations, sensor technology and the industrial Internet of Things. The event will focus on cutting-edge developments in the fields of smart manufacturing and industrial safety, helping participants to efficiently connect with solutions from leading companies.

The SPS Demo Forum Thailand follows the experience of the SPS events worldwide and brings an international automation perspective to the Thai manufacturing industry. The event brings together industry leaders such as Beckhoff Automation, Phoenix Contact, Pilz and Bender to share practical experiences in areas such as modernizing traditional factories, improving operational resilience, the practical application of artificial intelligence in manufacturing and logistics, and the integration of information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT).

In addition, the SPS Demo Zone also showcases advanced industrial technologies from SICK, Wieland Electric Singapore, Belden Asia (Thailand), Balluff, Cognex, Igus, Interroll and Rittal, providing visitors with practical application examples of automation technology.
